    While looking for Eagles to Photograph last Sunday this Great Cormorant came cruising by for a looksee in the 40 plus mPH winds

    Nikon D3 with 600mm f4 and 1.4 ext
    F11 at 1/100th and ISO 400

    stunning, the bit of blue in the bg is a nice repetition of the blue eye....
    might just subdue the very top of that blue, about 3/4', just a thought

    good to see such nice tones in the wing

    John I like this one. The bird is barely going away from you but it looks as if you captured his attention. There seems to be a dust speck near the lower left hand corner of the frame.

    Lovely flight image of the cormorant in flight and good detail in the blacks. I would have liked to have had a tad more head turn . Not an easy subject to capture and I think you did a fine job John. Thanks for sharing.
