Really like this Troy....great control of the whites in that bright beach lighting. Open bill adds to it...wish the tail were a bit sharper but understand that he was moving toward you. Nicely done with new gear

Great pose. Really like the sense that it is smiling and dancing. Good exposure and detail as stated above. Tail oof is unfortunate but understandable. Might sharpen the eye a tad.

Hi Troy - Nice one!! - Dont think there is anything you could do about the OOF tail - not enough DOF not matter what quite possibly.
Like the pose and open beak - exposure looks good.

Nice whites and good exposure Troy. Might give it a bit more sharpening, especially the eye. Like that you haven't oversaturated the bill.

Like it a lot Troy !!! Fun pose and love the tittle !!! As Lance mentioned not much you could do with the tail !! Sharpening more is just a matter of taste and could go with a little more but sure looks good as presented !!!! ... we have had a fine collection of skimmers here .... could pool them al together and do a book !!!

Hi Troy, The oof tail in this position is really a non issue based on the fstops most bird photographers use to get the speed up.I like the framing, pose and open mouth. Better lighting would have brought this to another level...
