The little Oystercatcher was nibbling on the foot of the parent. I made this a few days ago at Nickerson, there were high clouds.

    Axel:

Sharp, well exposed, good DOF, cute framing of the chick between the legs. An all sand background might have kept our attention more on the action, but very fun as is. Might consider toning down the contrast in the greenery a bit to downplay its eye pulling power.

    Cheers

    Axel:

This is a pleasing family portrait in which composition, sharpness, and subject interest are all excellent. And the feather definition is terrific: everything from the lightest to the darkest feather regions is well captured.

Sadly, I have no suggestions for improvement.:(

Great perspective, and the parent has posed nicely for you. Well timed to capture and frame the chick between the legs, and overall well exposed.

Another great image from Axel! Great detail in the birds eye and beak really draw one in. I too find the bright background trying to pull me away from the birds. But then the birds draw me back again. Could get dizzy if I looked for too long ....:D

Can only call this sweet. Everything works in this fine image. The chick needs to be careful as it could wind up with a head full of poop!!!!!

Sweet interaction, Axel, and the green in BG adds a lot to the picture, it acts as a warmer coven the cloudy conditions :)

Wow, great interaction, low angle, and sense of habitat. I do feel that the eye could go a bit brighter though.

    Looking forward to more!!
