    Default Common White Pekin

Back in late January, this white pekin was mixed in with a bunch of mallards
in a small bayou here in NW La.
I was crouched way low and when he turned my way....."slap-click".
Even with fairly fast shutter, the water shows nice motion

    thank you for any critique

Dave good job with the pose in this image. I would have liked to have seen the whole reflection including but if this is full frame you obviously couldn't have managed that with such a low angle. Did you get any with both eyes in view?

I just adore the water (color and those lovely ripples), but agree with Stephen that the full reflection would look better if it was possible to manage it. Alternately, I wonder if it might not look a bit better with less reflection and more space at the top.

Cute pose Dave and a great low angle. I do find the whites on the back to be a tad hot on my monitor. I agree about the reflection and if you can not include it all then you could crop a little tighter on the bottom and perhaps a little more room on top. Many thanks for sharing.

Very nice. You did well with the exposure and details. Did you get one in vertical??

    Thanks for all the input.
Regards the reflection, I went back and checked and there was a water ripple that cut the head in half
    and was very unsightly.

Maxis, this is a fair crop and a vertical may be good too. I need to look at the reflection again
    Thanks
