Sid, this has excellent feather detail and I like the catchlight in both eyes.

I like the lookback pose, and eye contact, and you have captured good feather detail too. Moving to your left would have eliminated the foliage above his head, if he wasnt skittish.

Looking right back at you and Well done IMO. I like the pale colors of the moss, etc. in bg too and think that compliments the subject.

Interesting setting and good eye contact. Interesting to see that the pupils look a bit reddish even though you didn't use flash.

Nice subject and setting. I'm not crazy about the moss growing out of its head...moving left or right, depending on what is or isn't there beyond the frame, may have resulted in better separation. Otherwise everything else is fantastic!

Very nicely done, SId. Lovely eye connect, detail and habitat, not too much, yet we can see where the Owl lives. Way to go!

Sid, I loved the shallow DOF a lot in this one. excellent pose, comp and exposure. Habitat is nicely captured. I think one round of sharpening on the bird will help.

Well done, Sid! Nice job catching him in his habitat. Agree with more sharpening. And it seems that the catchlight is from a different angle in each eye?
