Hi Ian This is a tough one on figuring what to do !!! Agree on Arash on the point of focus, don't think its on the eye area ... but what I was thinking its one neat reflection and might just go with it !!!! More focal length and zeroing in on the reflection to post upside down ! Will do away with the mud bg and make for one pleasing image !!

As presented I'm not sure about the space to the right with the green, color looks good but not adding to the image Interesting and like it a lot !!!

Ian, Good low angle with a sharp reflection. The white band on top isn't helping the image and I would simply fill in the area with existing backround. I would have preferred the water to have been one color and find the green a bit distracting....

Wow, guys! I must be going blind in my old age! It sure looks in-focus to me.

Anyway, I'll play with it a bit (and poke through some more of the series I took). An upside down post? Hmmm ...

    Thanks.

Hi Ian - As AL mentioned with a realy strong reflection try shooting the reflection ONLY and then flip it over in PP - can have some nice effects.
Id go vertical here - cropping into isolate just the bird and his reflection - yep I know you loose that lovely green water - but just dont think it works with its inclusion. You should be able to see in DPP were the focus point is.
    Keep em coming :)

Hi Ian Not sure what the original looks like but the post as presented is not critically sharp, might only need sharpening ..... can't find the af placement point !!!

Went back to DPP (which I don't normally use). You guys are right ... the AF point is on his breast and not on his eye.
