Baby Least Tern, maybe a couple of days old. It got separated from the parents bait, but there was plenty of room in the Tern colony as not to get himself in trouble they way he would have in the Skimmer's

    Fabs:
Great exposure, calling pose and comp. I like the pink showing through the fuzz. Good shooting angle, very effective DOF.

    Cheers

Cute little guy, I also like the setting, angle, exposure control and that we can see the tongue.

Very cute capture, Fabs! Great low angle. You were lying prone in the sand for this I assume. As do the others, I like the pose, the tongue, and the pink skin through the fuzz. I also like the DOF. You got such a nice blurred BG at f8-is this due to the compression of the telephoto lens?

    Thanks all!
Julie, I was lying flat on the ground and other than compression, the sand in the BG was very far from the chick, he was on a shell mound.

Looks like it's sitting in cotton. Great exposure and low angle makes it all work.

Fabs, loved the use of rule-of-thirds in this one. perfect low angle, DOF an exposure. Thx for sharing. He/She must be really tiny.

Super comp and pose Fabs, and I like the show of the tongue. Good job with the overall exposure, and getting down and dirty has paid off.
