    Hey Guys,

Think a few of us found a new home :D with this new board.

I would love to treat the posts here for critque as well as comment so would welcome all comments on anything I post and I will hopefully be helpful to others with my comments as well.

    Having said that...

Here is a P40 From me,

Alot of PP work went into this one, Levels, curves, contrast, masking sky, selective NR, sharpening.

Hope you like it as much as I do, was quite underexposed, will show the original after a few comments :)

Hi Peter love the plane and banking pose, just right shutter speed for the prop .. got to remember that for my own !!! There is is cast on the clouds, corrected that and also selected the cockpit area with shadow/highlight for more detail !! ... love our new forum and you are Harold are the brains/power behind it !!! Big Congrats !!

I think the new board is a credit to all :)

Thanks for the repost, this aircraft in peticular is very difficult as it is that olive green which always looks black even to the naked eye. Will show the original later and let you have a play with that ;)

Very nice topside view of this good looking plane! Agree with Alfred's comments on the color cast which his repost handles nicely.

Fantastic shot of a killer plane! You guys are going to inspire me to start going to airshows in St. Louis and at Scott AFB. Just what I need.......another hobby!

    woohoo!! we did it!!
great first post, pete! al's repost does it for me. i really like what he did with it. post the techs with it next time, but i'd bet you were around 0 compensation. need to dial in lots of positive compensation for these dark planes!

i'm so glad to see others participating. will be a great forum!!!

Nice image and subject. A little PP makes it perfect. But the image is awesome.

    Hey Peter,
I see where you could have gotten in trouble exposure wise.....white clouds probably the culprit! Nice save by Al! I'm starting to thing cloudy/stormy sky overcast may work best!
