thanks for looking. comments welcome and much appreciated.
Were the aircraft dark in the original image, with the background that detailed I almost always find that the aircraft are dark, or vice versa where you will get a detailed aircraft and white(ish) background.
thanks, guys. pete, the planes are pretty correct as it was out of the camera. i really didnt do much to this. just a very small crop for composition and some contrast adjustments.
I haven't been able to catch them since I've been down here. But have seen them many times in the past and enjoyed every show.
I did a quick PP on it to see if you might like to experiment with it a little. I don't know what the skys were like that day, but I've attached a bolder version, using Shadow and Highlight adjustment. It is a quick fix, but fine tuning to what your vision is might improve the image a little.
hey mark, thanks for the repost. in actuality the sky was lighter than in your version. i think the lighter sky looks a little better because it gives the jets more separation from it. had it been the thunderbirds with their white planes, i would have been right there with you in darkening up those skies increasing the drama. thanks again!
No problem Harold. As they say ... your image ... your vision. I think personally somewhere in between would be great. I overdid it a little as I didn't want to be there all day and i wanted to see the impact and the left jet is a little bright in the left wing area. But you were there and ... so ... :D
Hey Harold,
Cool forum! Well....since we are critiquing in here.....perhaps darkening the ULC white......or go Marks route (or in between) and darken the sky but leavem/make the jets a touch lighter! That may make this one really pop! Great comp with all the planes placed very nicely in the frame! I think I'd toy around with this one!
PS Had time....did what i said.....then went into selective colors and removed black from the whites......then added black to the neutrals and balcks globally after I lightened the BA! All seperate layers. Whadayathink?
