    Wow!
Amazing detail and eye contact, you must have been pretty close!

The focus seems to be on the near wing, some selective sharpening on the head edges and bill may help... closing down for DOF, ofc was'nt an option, but still, sharp enough where it counts!
The oof bit on the perch is a bit distracting, you could try cloning if you are not averse to it.

    Overall, great image, TFS!

nice BG and light, critical focus point is on the wing and head/beak are a bit soft as pointed out, best is to put the focus point on the eye. A tad high in the frame, I think stepping to a bit to the left would have improved this shot. TFS

Arash nailed my assessment of the image. Love the tongue sticking out and a smaller aperture would have given you more DOF, since BG is not busy.

Beautiful color and nice pose. How did you get by with this focal length using 1/160sec SS off of a monopod? You must have steady hands! I find the comments by Arash and Fabs to be instructive.

All in all a very good image of a lovely bird. Love the pose and colours.
