    Default Yellow Warbler

Little warbler out on the prairie at Shaw Nature Reserve in St. Louis. I listed it as a female, yellow warbler in my files when I made the shot but I realize now that I never verified that ID as I usually do. My bad - in advance - if I went astray. :( Thanks.

Another lovely shot Danny. The bird is nicely isolated against the background and you showed some nice habitat elements without them cluttering the image. I like it.

    Danny:

Good job exposing the yellows, easy to toast. Interesting perch. Unusually big feet!
I might consider toning down the bright leaves beneath the feet, a bit distracting.

    Cheers

I like the head angle, composition and pose. You could try to desaturate the yellows a few points and tone down the highlights.

Nice birdie with good head angle and catch light. Can't help you on ID, yellow little bird for me :)
Agree with Axel on desaturating the yellows a bit to let more feather detail show. TFS.

Danny, I think it is a female yellow warbler. Males have the brown streaks on the breast. Very nice light and details on the head.

I like the pose and inclusion of the habitat. The bird also pops nicely from the BG.
