Seeing all the spoonbill shots out of FL has got me digging in the archives for a fix until they return here. Another from last June along the LA coast. These young spoonies were feeling their oats and sparring with each other on a ridge out in the marsh. I'm interested in whether you think the ibis adds to the story or is a distraction.

Hi David I like the interaction Both birds is good positions, eyes clearly visible, good wing positions and both sharp Don't think the Ibis is helping a lot here? Would increase density just a bit on the foreground bird !!!

btw what was your exp comp?

Alfred,,,,went back to the exif and it was +1EV. I got a series of these guys and the ibis is in about half of them. This was my favorite for posture and eye contact between the spoonies.

    Thanks for the feedback.

Fantastic interaction, like the soft light and the cool and warm color combo.

I really like this bit of behavior.
The spoonbills stand supreme on there own and IMO, the ibis is intrusive/irrelevant to a pleasing/interesting image

Dave I definitely like the interaction here and having both birds with their bills open. I know that he was there but the Ibis doesn't add anything IMHO.

The action is fantastic and the soft colours in the scene. I am not sure about the ibis but I believe that adds nothing to the scene.
