    it hasnt been that long ago, but already i miss the ospreys and cant wait til their return next year to lake blue cypress. here's one from back in may taken with OZ and the wives.

    D300, 120-400, f.5.6, 1/1000s, ISO 800

    Interesting pose and great lighting. It looks like you used fill flash, but I guess not. I think that the exposure is right on. Theres something diagonal in the lower left that I'd crop out. It makes me question the orientation of the bird, but if that's out there's no conflict.

    Nicely done.

    Hi Harold, great wing position,light and detail. Agree on blending the branch on the lower left and I would take out the small green clump on the lower right...

    Hi Harold - preety much nailed it - IMHO - agree about the clump - like the pose and the direct eye contact.

    Hi Harold. I love this shot, it has good action. I like the way the out of focus BG doesn't cut into the bird, but gives it depth. I would probably have cropped out the bottom RH corner to remove the tree just sneaking in.

    Great shot.

    Agree with comments and love the different pose and look !!! Think the whites are right at the ragged edge and would clone some texture in the light parts on the legs !! ... will be back there before you know it !!

    Hi Harold...I like the eye contact and the pose caught is great! I agree with cropping suggestions mentioned!
