    Default Common Yellowthroat

Been working on this species for about a week with some decent luck. Self critique...wish for seperation from the perch and subject, pretty happy with everything else.

Hope you enjoyed, and as always C&C welcomed and encouraged.

Jason, Like the BG , the detail in the feathers and the black area around the eye. I would clone out the extra leaves near the tail and agree with the self critique about the perch running through the bird's body.

Roy, thanks for the reply. The "extra leaves" near the tail are actual split off tail feathers. So...no cloning those out:).

I like the angle, BG, eye contact and sharpness. The blacks could go a bit darker for my taste. Could you have moved a bit to your left to avoid the perch/beak merge?

Good details on this figity guy! I love the great view of the foot clamping on the stem. Tight in the frame for my personal taste, but good for showing this guy off:). I'm distracted by the lowest tail feather, but understand why you will keep it there. The HA could be a wee bit better (a couple of degrees more our way).
