    Nice image. I like the low angle and feather detail. Exposure also looks very good.

    Good exposure, pose, BG, and low angle. The soft light really helped here. I'd personally prefer the subject smaller in the frame, and I find the black strand next to the legs distracting - easy to eliminate vis clone and patch tools (if you are so inclined to do so). The eye is nice and sharp!

    Hey John, the low angle here really helped minimize the clutter of the beach. Great exposure, soft light, and BG. I agree on the little black twig.

    Very nice capture, with good eye contact and clean BG. Great feather detail and sharpness. As mentioned, a bit tight in the frame.

    Thank you all for the kind feedback. Agree on the tightness in the frame. It was one of those occasions where suddenly it decided to come up real close and check me out lying on the ground. There was no time to take off the 1.4TC.

    Joerg - Great angle and exposure on the bird, if mine, I might try a version w/ several of the foreground and background objects cloned out.
