Sorry to be such a stranger this summer on the forum. I have really got back into sheepdog trialling--and not much time for birding right now. I have seen some magnificent country-incredible scenery.
This dog was trying to be a bird! A young dog frustrated by very difficult "range" sheep. This ewe, however did not get away.

BTW! I love the new look of the forum! Thanks to all involved.

Thanks everyone--wish I had some birds to post, but I don't!:(
Hopefully, next month things will slow down and I can get back out after the birds.

This is a beautiful image, great action, intensity in the dog's face/body is palpable! I thought originally it'd be nice to crop out the human/shepherd staff, but honestly, the image would lose meaning without them. Nicely done!

Thanks Jim! It was quite a grip. ;>) He actually brought her down in the end.
I am not going to VA. I was at Klamath last year, and I might go to Colorado next year--if I get my dog qualified---otherwise I'll wait and the finals are back out on the west coast in 2012.
Will you be going to Va?
