This little downy put on a regal pose for me one day last winter at the conservation area where I work.

Nice portrait, Danny, love the detail in the head, breast and mantle feathers. Would wish for a tad more catchlight. Although it's probably an OOF snowflake, you might try eliminating the large whitish area in upper left. Ditto the smaller one just to right of bird. Overall, a winner and TFS!

What a beautiful puffball, with a ice over the shoulder eye contact. Love the tail resting on the perch and snow flakes.

I have always found it difficult to catch these birds in a pose that really does them proud. You have managed to do it here Danny. I love that it is set off from the tree trunk. The head turn is just right for me. I would wish for a brighter eye. With oof snow, I always debate whether to include them or not. I would hope for a few more flakes to make the setting more obviously snowy.

I like the pose and the snowflakes work nicely together with the white spots on the blacks. Lovely image.

Nice WP portrait Danny! I like the HA and the snow. I would try lightening the blacks around the eye area, but I'm viewing on my laptop at this time.

I love it!! Just the perfect amount of perch showing here. I have the same concerns as Keith re: white areas ULC and right of bird, but otherwise very good!
