    Hi Vince, Even light with a good pose by the parent. I also like that you caught the babies mouth fully open. What is playing against the bird activity is the environment. A viewer would generally not know it was a cat carving and the painted area takes away from the overall image. The upper blue corner also adds an element of distraction...

    Hi Vince The large crop is hurting quality and I think you are over sharpening !!!

    Tried a smaller crop, opened the shadows then slight sharpened btw at the regular crop size did not look bad, things got ugly when I enlarged to 700 pixels across !!!

    Hi Vince - prefer the OP - The 2nd repost looks very over sharpened. It is a pretty big crop - would try to get a little closer if you can - IQ is going to suffer with big crops like this - same for any camera really!
    Understand you dont want to disturb the nest though!!
