Sharing a little jewel of the Kinabatangan River, Sabah. This blue eared kingfisher is really brillantly coloured and despite its usually skittish behaviour stayed around long enough for a few shots to be made. The bopping boat that we were on made it just so much more exciting :)

Beautiful bird, interesting pose, BG and light. I would tone down the whites a bit.

Sweet detail and pose. A little fill flash would help with the bright BG.

Very nice bird and good composition. The colors look really saturated, but I guess that's how they are. Good use of DOF. TFS.
