The pose looks good and the perch adds interest. The light angle is not ideal and I find the bird a bit tight in the frame.
I agree with Axel on his comments. The head looks a bit soft to me.

Axel nicked the critique, for me, the sun angle is what really could have made this one much better. TFS.
Thanks for the comments although it looks better in TIFF, I think I am guilty of trying to make a silk purse out of a pigs ear.
