Oystercatcher with chick ... about three weeks old. Tough shooting with lots of heavy rain, even the birds did not look happy !!

    Comments welcome and much appreciated

Wonderful interaction Alfred. I like the high key effect caused by the weather you had to deal with.

Nice one Al. Good high key and that red bill is something else.

The interaction is great and I also like the inclusion of the shell. I don't mind the light at all but the blacks could go darker for my taste.

Al, a lovely tender moment between parent and chick, and good to see the meal. Their colours stand out nicely from the overcast conditions.

Great action. Tilting my head to look at it makes me want to give it a CW rotation.

High key look works well and the wet brings out some wonderful detail in the feathers. Love it.

Nice captured, especially considering the weather we had to cop with. They are sooo sweet!

Great interaction, lovely natural moment, I agree about the CW rotation needed, but overall I like it very much. Congrats.

Lovely moment captured. The high key works very well here. I also agree with some CW rotation.

oh wow - it's so difficult to photograph interaction between birds well. It's difficult to get both in focus, get the head angles/poses right, and to get them doing something interesting but you've done it all here. I very much enjoyed viewing this shot.

Give me a fish and you feed me for a day. Teach me to fish and you feed me for a lifetime. I think that's how that saying goes. Nice capture under conditions at least one has written that he prefers for wildlife photography as I recall.
