Last Short Ear - Till next year

Hi Everyone,
Hope you had another great weekend. Here is a shot that was part of another post but did not get critiqued. I realize that there is some shadow on this but it was taken without flash in available sun at the end of the day. I have a Better Beamer now so you will see those shadows starting to fade away as I get more used to it.
Taken with Canon 20D, EF 500mm, 1/1000 sec at F/5.6

Nice pose and perch. The whites look a bit overexposed on my monitor and the bird is a bit centered. I might go for a vertical crop.
