    Default Chickadee

I think this is a Black-capped Chickadee, but Princeton is right in the narrow zone of Black-capped/Carolina hybrids, and I can't always tell. (Any advice?). We've had several weeks of drought (until today), and all the neighborhood birds are hanging out at my backyard water bubbler. Low morning light conditions called for the high ISO and some resultant noise, which I wasn't able to remove from the bird's body without losing feather detail. C&C appreciated.

I think the light brings out the texture and details of the bird very well...really like them and look very good to me. Like the color of the background also.

Hi Bill, agree with others that this is a well handled image. It is a Black Capped Chickadee and I have them all over. All the techs look good to me with a beautiful backround with the subject nicely lit...good one..

    Hi Bill
I like the feathers details you've capture, and direct look of the bird and the contrast between the light that reach the bird and the background. Good work!
