    Imaged on northern Michigan lake recently. This adult loon was very busy bringing home chow for junior. He swam through a dark patch of water, but with light still hitting him.

    Love this dark-water image, Randy. You nailed the exposure, nice eye contact and detail. Love the black BG and FG. It's very interesting to watch the nonstop chow runs of the adults - they're trying to grow that chick as quickly as possible. TFS!

    Beautiful bird (and minnow). Detail and exposure look great, with nice velvety black bg. I might have considered removing several of the light spots above the bird.
