Went out early today prior to the rains coming, down to Allens Neck Massachusetts Audubon Sanctuary in Westport MA. Walked down to the beach, the weather was foggy and watch and photographed the terns, gulls, eiders and piping plovers. On the way back to the sanctuary's field station, this willet landed on a tree swallow box and talked to me. he allowed me to get to within 10 feet. There is no crop on the photo.

Hehehe, good capture and expression. Love the clean BG. Not sure about the rotation since the perch does not seem to be straight to begin with :)
I think the plumage looks a bit oversharpened and you could make your copyright a bit larger. TFS.

    Thanks,
The perch is a tilted Tree Swallow nesting Box wich put the bird at my eye level. It was somewhat foggy and I wanted to bring out the color better on the bird

Colors look good, Myer, just back up on the sharpening a bit :)

The tilted feel does not work for me.
I would crop it tighter if it were mine. Good catch with open beak.

Lucky you! I can almost hear him now. Great open beak pose, and the tilted nest box doesn't bother me. The bg is beautiful, and exposure looks good. Also nicely composed in the camera, although I might have cropped just a bit from right and top. Are those cloning artifacts, or something else funky (maybe layer mask inaccuracies), in several places at the top edge of the back and head?
