    Default Piping Plovers, Plymouth Beach

Working on a shorebird video for the last two years and needed some more B-roll for the Piping Plover portion of this project.

Spent some time at Plymouth Beach last month and posted a few clips on YouTube.

Enjoyed your video Shawn. The footage was nice, especially the chick. What equipment was this filmed on?

Recorded with Canon Mark IV, Canon 600mm, Gitzo tripod, Wimberley head.

Very good article published this week about Plymouth Beach and posted on MassBird by Betty Anderson.

    To all Massbirders:

Most of the Massachusetts birding community know that Plymouth Beach is
renowned for its famous tern colony, the large concentrations of migrant
shorebirds, its nesting Piping Plovers, and the rarities that occur with
    surprising frequency.

It was the first site proposed as an IBA (Important Bird Area), but you may
not be aware that it has been identified as one of the three most
    significant
bird habitats in Massachusetts, and # 87 out of more than 3,000 in the
    lower 48.

Today's edition of the Old Colony Memorial has a well-written and
    informative
article about the beach, its history and importance for birds, and I would
recommend you access it by going to:
