    Default Snowing Outside

This is old image that I created from a photo of a window on our barn. I've previously posted two other versions of it, one with a rainbow and the other with a woods scene. For this version, I added a snowy landscape that I had blurred in the window and then added the falling snow in PS. Any comments and suggestions would be most appreciated.

Christopher, I like the snow and the warm light on the wall. It makes me think of being in a nice warm cabin while it snowed outside, which I have done!

Really like the feel of this one Christopher, and like the light coming from an undefined source gives it some mystery to me. Good job with the snow too. Would be interesting to see a tree or something through the window too. (Just NIDA:))

That's exactly what I was thinking of when I was creating this, Kerry. Thanks!

Jackie, I suppose I could put a clear scene through the window, but personally I think the lighting and falling snow create the feel that I wanted without any need for a clear scene. Thanks very much for the comments!

I like that the outside is lost to the snow, Christopher. I like the lighting on the inside of the cabin and think the broken board at the bottom of the window is a nice touch - it really adds some interest. I would challenge you, though, to add a bit of depth to the wood - maybe a bit of contrast or some selective burning/dodging. Think about how the fire kicks off the most light at one level and the rest fades back into darkness...

Thanks Jules. Good idea on adding more depth to the wood, I'll give it a try.
