Interaction: Hey mom!

Under light rain at the colony. This nesting site is roped twice. Once near the birds, then a second roped area, real large, to keep people away in the popular and crowded beach, where the birds have chosen to nest for the past 4 years. It is my guess they feel quite comfortable there since the keep coming back, having lots of deserted beach to claim. They were never bothered by our presence.
Original has the whole adult bird, cropped to emphasize the interaction.

Lovely exposure, with nice detail in whites and darks, love the rain drops,interaction nice. Tight crop works here because our attention is drawn so much to the adult and chick interaction.
I could see a version with slightly looser crop on the left.

I am always amazed how thin their bills are.

A beautiful emotional image with great detail in both the black and the white areas of plumage. I appreciate the tight crop for the context, but would also like to see a slightly 'looser' one. The raindrops were a great bonus.
