    Default Classic Spoonie

I was going through my images from this past winter season and found this one to post process. I like the simplicity and environment. Taken with the D300 and Nikon 500 f/4, f/7.1, iso 640, 1/1600, attached to the Quick Action Harness. All C&C welcomed:).

    Nancy:
I like the composition too. Some loss of detail in certain areas of the whites. Might consider running recovery in ACR for whites, and reduce the overall exposure by 1/3 of a stop.
I would be tempted to keep the reeds around the feet, but clean up the ones under the bill.

    Very peaceful.

    Cheers

Nice image, Nancy, I like the vibrant colors. I do find the blue lines in the water a bit distracting as there is no clue in the image as to their cause.

I like the pose and colours Nancy, and agree with Randy on bringing some more detail in the whites. Comp works well, and I actually like the darker lines on the water, they break up the surface nicely.

Love the composition and the included elements of environment. The contrast between the blue and pink is outstanding and makes this a strong image.

Hi Nancy, I like the overall composition. I like the placement of the bird in frame and I think the reflection is strong enough to be a plus. I agree with other that the green reeds around birds leg are appealing. It might worth the effort to try Randy's suggestions as a bit more detail in the whites would make this stronger in my opinion. The contrasting blue and reds really pop. Nicely done!

Very nice reflection and environment, another vote for keeping the reeds around the feet but evicting the others. Colors are superb although taming the whites a bit would be a positive.
