I was photographing gulls at sunset on Brier Island, Nova Scotia last weekend, when this doe appeared out of nowhere on the road, stayed for a moment, and then headed off into the long grass.

Lovely pose by the deer and nice lighting on her, but I think the low shutter speed has caused a softness which is a shame. I also find the tyre marks a distraction and I would get rid of them in PP, but that is, of course a personal choice. Perhaps if you cropped to a vertical you could rid yourself of much of the tyre on the LHS. I guess you would have sharpened as much as you were able? The light is to die for! TFS.
Hi Richard Glad you were attentive and got this beauty !!! Do think vertical would be be the best way to go and can lighten the face area just some. Just use the dodge/burn tool in PS, nothing fancy !!! Sweet !!
