Battling the rain off the boat, we were able to work only for an hour before the heavy rain evicted us from the area. Unfortunately we had to get back home earlier than anticipated because of precarious weather. The silver lining was we didn't have to worry about burning the whites :)

Aha, I recognize that spot. :)
Glad you got to to shoot a bit before it rained. Were they still active?

Love the colors, BG, exposure, sharpness and all of that good stuff.

I do wish that the subject were higher in the frame, but it looks like you've got some FG stuff that would preclude that?

As soon as rain got stronger they stepped coming and the ones there hunkered :)
So no use staying and getting wet.
Thanks, Troy, sorry we missed each other.

    Fabs:

Lovely soft light. I had the same impression as Jim, wish for a bit more landing room below if you have it.

    Cheers

A perfect landing pose against a nice BG. Absence of harsh light really shows off the subtle pink hues of the plumage.

Beautiful Fabs, love how it stands out against the dark BG. Wonder if there is any texture in the whites in RAW?

    TFS, very nice.

This is a fantastic shot. I especially like the green BG, the wing pose and the soft light.

    Thanks all!
Jim and Randy, I havo no more at bottom. I guess I could have added canvas, but I didn't.
Arash, this was taken at f/4, so I think DOF took care of the feather detail.

Good landing pose Fabs, and the overcast weather sure did help with the exposure. A little more room below wouldnt harm this. Well captured, and glad you didnt get wet.
