    this is as much an experiment as it is a post for critique. james has linked us to facebook and you can click on the facebook connector on the top of the page and link your posts here to your facebook page. i'm trying it now for the first time. when i get all the particulars worked out i'll let everyone else know how to do it!! meanwhile, fire away with the comments on my pic!

    D300, 50-500 at 500mm, f/8, 1/640s, ISO 500, +1.0EV.

    Hi Mr H - Have signed up to facebook - though I would throw my support into the ring as well (Have resisted facebook until now) :)

    Like the parent in the BG with the open beak pose - I played around with the little guys in the foreground a bit - think they would benefit from some additional sharpening will make them POP a little more - IMHO.
    Love the low shooting angle.

    thanks, lance......that sharpening for web thing has always been a small problem for me. do you have any standard settings you use in CNX2?

    Hi Mr H - I never sharpen in CX2 - I use Genuine Fractals in CS4/5 for selective sharpening. Have Noel Carboni's actions and find the max texture ones work really well.

    Hi H For two little guys being the focus ... no pun intended :) ... would like to see them both sharp and to get them sharp you need lots more dof plus focusing a third on the way past the first one !!! Can work in a big way and love the idea !!! .. de let us know about it and how it works !!!
