    Default Bobolink look-back

My favorite view of this species is from the back - it shows why some people call them "skunk birds". So I waited until this rather cooperative male landed and gave me the classic look-back. Light was quickly fading behind heavy cloud cover so I had to crank up the ISO, go to a slower SS than I would like and start clicking.

All c&c welcome! Thanks for looking.

Nice portrait, Dan, sharp, good eye contact and BG. Love the feather patterns on these birds. TFS!

    Dan:
It is a striking feather pattern from this view, well captured under the failing light. Very sharp, esp for this shutter speed and lens/TC combo.
Just for personal taste, I might consider cropping down from the top, about 20% of the free space, but nice as is.

    Noise seems well controlled.

    Cheers

    Randy
