    Really cool image with great action, pose and eye contact on the intended prey.

    I wish that the bird were higher in the frame overall and it looks a bit bight...perhaps toning it down a bit would make a better presentation?

    Very nice shot Johan! Great action with a story. The lighting is a bit harsh, but I guess that brightness is what allowed you to use a fast SS. I wonder if the bright whites could be toned down a little to reduce the glare.

    A very neat image, if only you had the "prey" nearer the beak it would be even more amazing. I agree on the comments regarding tonong down,

    Beautiful shot! I agree with the above comments regarding the brightness, but all the same, wonderful.

    Hi Johan:
    You took an interesting pic, these birds don't like people near them and you achive this with a 300 mm lens on a FF body!. I like the feathers position, the brilliant eye and the open beak ready to capture the insect. I'd like a smoother light, but it's ok anyway. good work.
