Hi Hilary, a cool cat that I have never managed to photograph. Nice leg position, and those closest ear is angled the same as the leg, nice colour, and no grass in front of the cat. Nice punchy black spots and white legs. Was it on the move?
I cant really see anything more that you could have done here.
TFS a pic of this rare cat

Thanks Grant. I hadn't noticed the ear position so thank you for pointing that out. This cat was out hunting and I have some typical hunting shots which I haven't processed yet. Didn't catch anything but was moving from bush to bush, but like this photo shows … in a steady manner, not super rushed. A sighting on the first morning and would have loved to have seen another but not to be.

Hilary, that is good luck to see one at all and to be able to photograph it. Are you using the 300f2.8 or the 300f4 Canon lens?
    cheers

Hi Hilary, what a great sighting, and out in the open too. Lovely striding posture, and looks in pretty good shape. Bet you are please with this. Well captured.

    Hi Hilary

Love that intense stare. He/she is obviously 'on the job' looking for lunch. Can't comment of the difficulty in capturing such a nice shot of this animal but well executed anyway...

Always nice (and rare) to see a Serval in daylight. It seems that the Mara is the place to be for these opportunities.
