    Default common tern with catch

I captured this tern as it was returning to the colony after grabbing a fish on the ocean - early morning light.

I like the composition, the wave and BG colors make this really interesting. The whites on the face look a bit bright on my monitor.

I fixed the link again, please make sure to use the one ending in "O" instead of "X3" so that the forum software can create a thumbnail. Let me know if you need help with it.

Hi Allan, I loved the dreamy feel this image portrays, and your overall composition works perfectly for me. The shape of that wave especially...and the gentle colours, almost looks like a panned shot

I like this shot for the overall setting and mood. Nice lighting and dual background. Lighting on the birds face seem a tad bright for me. Good catch in the eye.

I went back and checked the highlights. The brightest spot on the face was r 252, g 236, b 204. There is a tiny blown highlight on the wing facing left.

What a dramatic environment, the wave really sets the mood for this image, very nice as presented, as mentioned, you could tone down the whites a bit. Thanks for sharing, Alan.

The BG is almost surreal. Great shot.
