    This is the first of the season for me and it's mother let it get pretty close to me but still chased off all the other birds that came close.

    MeteringMode - Partial
    Flash - Flash not fired, compulsory flash mode
    FocalLength - 400 mm
    Focus mode - AI Servo
    Metering mode - Partial
    White Balance - Sunny

    Hi Bernie The reflection is so good you could have concentrated on it and skipped the bird !!! Will do just so with bright conditions and white birds ... this could qualify for the bg !!!

    I think you made the best possible image, getting lower if possible would have been the only way to make it better !!!

    I see lots of the stilts, but have yet to see the chicks. Nice image!

    Hi bernie...Like this image...The reflection is wonderful! You might consider running some noise reduction on the bg and cleaning up that bright speck just above the birds head.
