Nice bird. Sharp. I would remove the branch sticking out of the birds head.

Well done Neil. Nice isolation of the perch and BG and good sharp detail. I would prefer to not see the pin-point eye highlight created by the flash and to see more DoF or better side angle to bring the tail into focus.

OK, I don't want to sound contradictory but here goes: I like the catchlight, with the face and eye perfectly sharp I'm OK with the DOF as is, and I would not clone out the branch behind the bird as this would make the branch look suspiciously and conveniently pruned just out of sight. I will admit though that it is sticking out at an awkward place and does grab the eye.

Nice inquisitive pose. Good colours and sharpness. I would selectively desaturate the BG as it is quite "lime"...even if this is how it was. Nice when the small songbirds cooperate with audio!!

    Neil:

I am with Daniel on this one. Bird is very nice, sharp, well exposed, catchlight OK for me.
The perch is nicely scaled to the bird, but its 'exit' on the back is a bit of an issue. I have had similar shots, and have tried cloning it out, but it always looked unnatural to me.

The background color is a bit overpowering.

    Cheers

    Randy

Nice image of this small Warbler. Wish for more DOF and softer light. Perhaps more fill flash.

I like the pose and detail but agree to desaturate the BG.
