This is a remarkable image! The obvious feature is of course the in-focus Satyrid butterfly in the same plane as the bird. There are lots of "hand of man" elements here but I don't mind at all because they add to the uniqueness of the image. Was the Hoopoe breeding behind the grate? The only thing I would suggest is brightening up the bird a little with some dodging in Photoshop. Very well done!
Agreed, this is an interesting shot. Lots happening. The butterfly gives meaning to the image. Nice exposure and warm details. Brightening of the bird's face and neck would help, IMO.
This is probably one of the most unusual nesting places one could imagine. How high above street level is it? The butterfly makes it even stronger. You could have dialed in positive EC. As it is now, I agree with John regarding lightening the bird some.
Hoopoe in prison? Veddy interesting and a great job on the EXP.

Something different and I really like it. I like how the wall is faded into blurred and how the butterfly is sharp against the blurred background. The peaking out head of the bird looking at the butterfly is excellent.
Hello
only a question.
I normal use Better beamer in TTl with - 1 1/2 or -1 2/3
but could better in this situation (where the wall is reflecting) use in Manual and -1/2 also to have more shooots?
Thanks
This is one of the most unique images that I've seen in a very long time. Well done on an exceptional image........containing colors, detail, and a spark for the imagination.
