    Default Interaction: No Love

I made this at Nickerson, these Common Terns were bickering for quite a while.

    1D4, 500f4, 1.4x, 1/1600s, f/8, ISO 400, manual exposure, cropped from horizontal

I like this in-your-face acrobatic interaction, Axel, nice capture of a bickering moment. BG looks very good for these terns. The birds look a tad soft, but the dynamics, lighting and exposure carry the image very well.

Thanks, Keith! I'm afraid that the details don't really come out at this small size.

You got the shot that I couldn't get Axel. I was at a colony last week trying for the same kind of shot but ran out of time! Very nice lighting, exposure and outstanding acrobatics. Looks sharp on my monitor. The bright beak and leg color is an eye-popper. Very nice.

Superb with two great head angles and postures. When I was there, the fights lasted less than a second.... I had no chance!

Great interaction captured. However, IQ is not great - looks like a serious crop as detail and sharpness are not really there.

Beautiful interaction, love the colors popping against the soft blue, good angle and catch lights.
    Very artistic looking too.

Terrific action, Axel; nicely captured. Great ha, poses and comp, and I love the matching colors of bills and legs.

I love the bright orange of the four feet and the two bills. Great head angles and very dynamic poses from both birds.

Axel, stunning action shot. perfect catchlights, poses and exposure. I can understand what folks are saying about details as this is big crop(any horizontal-to-vertical is a big crop).....but IMO, this shot is not about details. Action happens when it happens and one has to make most of the situation..as you have done here. Loved it a lot.

A crop of a full hight vertical from a horizontal is not that big and will maintain nice detail even for printing. I believe this is a far bigger crop than full hight vertical.
