Okay so maybe I am pushing the interaction theme with this one, but these two very young terns were interacting earlier then just turned away from each other and sat there for a few minutes. Canon 600mm with 1.4 converter, f/7.1, SS 1/1250, ISO 400, Flash EC -2. Taken a few weeks ago at Nickerson Beach Long Island. Thinking about a little tighter crop...

Very cute guys Nick! May I suggest a croping in pano format? I bit less room at the right would produce a more centered composition that it could work in this case with both animalslooking in separate directions :)

Nick, Beautiful exposure. I agree w/ Juan's crop suggestion, even though I'm not a fan of panos I think it would work well here. Cute as a button!!:)

Pano gets my vote as well. Great exposure here.

Pano could work, but at the very least I'd crop some off the bottom. I also agree in making the spaces left and right equal. Grumpy little buggers, butvery cute!!

i could go either way. a little off the bottom or a pano. after looking at it more, i agree that equal sides would make it better. i like it because it tells a story even without having a title!!

Ignoring each other is some kind of interaction, I guess. :) I like the poses and eye contact. Aside from cropping some off the top and a little of the bottom, I might try to include the entire shadow of the chick on the left.

Lovely cute pair. Another vote to go with a pano crop.
