Does this count as a avian? I loved the scene, the Great Blue was standing a few feet from the two fishing, watching and waiting. Perhaps for a treat/left over (but they never fed him). But my theory is he was giving instruction, teaching them how a pro fishes.
Taken f/16 with a 200-400 + 1.4TC at 1/250th, ISO 560 (too high, but I wanted the longer DOF), on a D300, taken off the north point of Sanibel in Florida.
Suggestions welcomed. I had some time to take this, and was not all that happy with the results (other than the story it told).
This is unthinkable in Costa Rica! this are very skittish birds down here and would never come this close to a human being.
Love how proud the bird looks and the size of it. :)
