I shot this BCN today at De Korte Park, Lynhurst, NJ. It was flying back and forth between a tree and an inlet to a tidal pond, at the park. I never felt like I got a good angle to shoot from. Yours comments and advice are appreciated, always looking to improve.

Bird in flight was never easy and you did well here. I like how you captured the bird coming toward you and not away from you, I also like the background which shown a hint of the environment. The angle helps show the top side of the far wing but make the near wing look flat. I might sharpen just the bird more.
Hi Al - ideally you want wings fully up or fully down - a top down view of the overall wingspan can work as well.
You have a good ha and have captured the bird before he flew past you - all good points!
The near wing being so flat is a little distracting - if he had banked abit more and shown more of that near wing would have been better.
Id set a black and white point in PP and sharpen a tad more.
Keep em coming.
A nice capture Al but I agree with the above comments on setting the levels - the white point appears to be around 235. Also I agree that it would take a little more sharpening. As has been mentioned BIF is not easy and you did very well here, Nice one.
