Default Nikon 500 f/4 and RRS Flash bracket

    Hi all-

Does anyone know if a RRS B87B flash bracket will fit on the 500mm f/4 AF-s outfitted with the RRS replacement foot? I own the B87B and I will be renting the 500mm f/4 from an out of state company for a trip to Alaska the end of July. I have the RRS replacement foot for the 500, but since I won't see the lens until I arrive in Anchorage, I have no way of knowing if the diameter of my flash bracket is large enough to fit. (It does fit the 200-400 with the RRS foot). Email from RRS said they didn't think it would fit but couldn't tell me for sure. If anyone has firsthand knowledge of this setup could you please let me know? Trying to avoid having to buy another flash bracket right now if at all possible.

    Thanks,

    Nathan

I have the RRS B87-B and it works with my 500 f/4 AF-S ED II with an RRS LCF-16 foot.

    Thanks Mike!

That's exactly the setup I'll have. Glad to hear it will work.
