i was going through some old files this morning clearing some harddrive space and ran across this one. i worked it because i knew it was going to be quick and easy. no crop. just a slight contrast boost and sharpening of the face. took longer to resize it for web than it did to process!! i like those!! let me know what you think about that mound of sand on the right. wasnt sure about it. this was from march at boynton inlet.

    comments much appreciated.

Harold - I don't mind the sand on the rhs but do think I would crop some of the oof area from the bottom. Like the detail and catchlight.

Hey Harold....i kind of like that pile of sand. It helps balance the large expanse of oof sand on the left. i also like the selective focus on this shot! It's a keeper in my book.

The low angle and the OOF sand bank gave me a feeling of sneaking up on the bird, kind of nice I think. Agree about a little crop off the bottom.

The low angle looks great, nice eye contact and details in the bird, though it looks like it could do with a couple extra passes of USM on the bill.
