Seeing that you had to add canvas, and that the shot is cropped close to the right, it seems you managed to get pretty close to your oystercatcher. I have a 600 mm lens and a 1.4x teleconverter, so I have an idea how close you were. Your closeness is an accomplishment in itself. I appreciate your level composition; the bird is sharp but there's just a little blur on the left wing, suggesting movement; the crab adds interest. A valuable photo.

Love the crab! The angle is nice and low, and your exposure and sharpness are perfect. Amazing that you were able to get one this tight in the frame. It still feels a little snug as presented, even after adding canvas.

Very nice action shot! Excellent techs. Would crop a bit off the top and add some to the sides - especially the right.

nice job keeping this moving guy sharp! nice job with the techs too! i agree with adding some to the sides. a little tight for me also. the crab is a bonus, but the eye contact does it for me. looks like he is trying to keep it from you!!!

Denise, I liked the low angle, the crab, the running pose and the details. The raised wings make it very interesting and compositionally strong. Thx for sharing.
