    Default Osprey and the Shad

Taken a couple days ago on an overcast day. This was about the third or fourth Osprey I had seen carrying a large Shad, there are quite a few new mouths to for these adult Osprey so they had to keep quite busy. Fun to watch the younger ones practice dive bombing in the water and play with one another. Thank you all for stopping by and have a great Forth of July Weekend.

Very nice pose and eye contact. I love the lg. fish w/ it's mouth open. The pale steel blue BG is lovely. I wish the underside of the bird had a bit more light. I might try to open it up a bit if it were mine.

Good comments from Denis. I would also add a tad more canvas on the left. Beautiful flight pose and the fish is a wonderful bonus to this image. TFS !

The comp looks good for me but I agree to try and recover more detail under the wings. Still a very nice image.
