    Default Snapping Stare

What do you think? Framing, color, sharpness?

Appreciate all the comments. I have been learning so much from you all.

Hi Keith, I'm a little undecided about the crop - I might crop from the right, keeping just the head. This would cause the face to be centered, but that might work in this image. Color and sharpness look good, would suggest some noise reduction on the background. Nice capture!

Hi Keith - I agree with kerry - would crop from the RHS - think the face centred would work in this instance - will give it some balance - feels a little unbalanced as presented.
The eyes look great - NO SS available to increase the DOF - Could have bumped the ISO up a little but still dont think it would have helped much.

Hi Keith, I agree that in this case centering the subject would work best. I would like to have seen more of the face in focus. At F5.6 you had a very minimal depth. I also saw you shot this at 1/30 sec which is very slow. If you handheld you were fortunate this came out at that speed without camera shake. (You didn't state if this was HH or not.)
If possible for best results at slow shutter speeds(with a stationary subject) a tripod is adviseable

i agree with the others in regards to the crop. that stare and the fairly even lighting is screaming for a centered composition here. cool job with the turtle!!
