    It was amazing to finally see these guys in person and doing a feeding run along the shore.

    Really interesting prey handoff interaction, Michael. Was this a small snail? Both birds tack sharp, beautiful BG, low angle, great eye contact, gorgeous orange bill. Adult tail cut, not clipped, so OK with me. Would wish for feet showing. TFS!

    Keith, I think its the inside of a shellfish. The adult would grab it and then give it to the chick. Looks like a small clam.

    Lovely interaction and great techs. However, the cut tail really hurts this otherwise awesome image IMO. Would prefer seeing this as a standard horizontal with more room on the left including the tail.

    What a great image of a special shorebird. They are much more striking than the black ones we have out west.
