    Default Skimming skimmer

Taken a week ago at Nickerson Beach. In general the wind is wrong most of the time for skimming shots. When the sun is behind you the the wind is coming at you so skimmer are flying away from you. This was further away from shore than I wanted to shoot but I like the long trail and the color of the water beyond the breakers. Taken about 45 minutes after sunrise.

I like the wide crop, morning light, pose and black trail. You can post images up to 1024 pixels, which would probably help to enjoy the scene even more.

I fixed the link, the file name needs to end with "O" instead of "X3". Otherwise the forum software can't create a thumbnail.

Allan, Nice skimmin scene. I like the color of the water also and the skimming pose is nicely captured. I also like the trail.

    Hey Alan,
Nice job going over the breakers! The tril adds a ton and the water color is sweet!

I changed the image in post one to a wider version as suggested by Axel and Arash. Since there was no change in processing I just switched out the 800 pixel one for the wider one.
